The Royal Return
by Don Davis

Here at Nu View, we like to be big and bold, and we are starting with Denim. Denim can be very basic, so here is a nostalgic twist on the original workwear textile. Qeren states "My inspiration was mainly 2000's R&B/Edgy style. I wanted to have three different types of looks that we, the models would be wearing. I wanted a bit of edginess mixed with sexiness, loud eyes to draw attention, and contrasting silhouettes to tie into the racy looks  Overall, I was proud of everything came together, it goes to show, whatever you want to do you can do it. It doesn't matter how big or small, just do it! You'll be glad you did!"

Conceited, Confident
by Carlisha Wilson

I wanted to focus on my sense of identity in fashion as well as finding consistency in my photography. Some photographers have a set style of editing photos while I haven’t found mine yet. The most consistent elements in my photos this semester has been my exploration with self-portraits and my white backdrop. This group of photos represent one of the days where I felt good and wanted to put on a cute outfit and pose, or when I wanted to see how certain poses in certain lighting would look but I didn’t have access to a model.

This series is important to me because I recently started liking the way I looked and started feeling comfortable accepting as well as giving myself compliments. Sometimes, this is met with people thinking I’m conceited but little do they know, I’ve never been so satisfied with this version of myself right now.

My goal is to extend this series further as I focus in on more stylistic forms of fashion photography and find my own personal style.

Cellophantasy
by Victoria Eidson

Women are expected to follow a myriad of rules. To hide who they truly are and fit their given stereotype. This shoot is meant to portray this pressure and how it suffocates.

We are made to shine.

To breathe.

To be empowered by our vulnerabilities.

To pierce through the plastic cover of this societal barbie box.

Natural, unique beauty always prevails above the plastic fantasy and no matter how hard it is to breathe underneath all that is expected, we find strength in our individuality.

Anarchy
by Don Davis

Anarchy is defined as "a society being freely constituted without authorities or a governing body. It may also refer to a society or group of people that entirely rejects a set hierarchy. Anarchy was first used in English in 1539, meaning "an absence of government". But, anarchy can also be defined as a state of disorder, nihilism, lawlessness, or Revolution!

Hi-Neutral
by Sophie Astro

In this lookbook, I wanted to showcase classy womenswear outfits that range from feminine to menswear-influenced looks. An individual’s style can have a spectrum of influences within it and I wanted to show a piece of that.

From my own personal style, I could be into something girly at one point and then something tomboy the next. Through this series of photos, I aimed to capture a variety of looks yet keeping it cohesive.

Women Supporting Women
by Abigail Ramirez

Women supporting women is one of the biggest things in today’s generation that’s helping us climb up the ladder of success. Jada Titus is the founder of Aglaia. Jada was born to be an entrepreneur and she is working on living that lifestyle. As with anyone that wants anything you have to want it to achieve it, and you also have to have people who believe in your dreams. Jada and I worked on this set as a power statement. I hope you enjoy the following.

Jubilee
by Tina Tran

These two looks embody the festive and fun feel of the holidays by mixing different textures and bold colors. The theme of "Jubilee" is a celebration of oneself where one is free to have fun and express who they are. Through vivid colors, a myriad of textures, prints, and lots of glitter, the holidays cannot be a more zealous event. Natalia is wearing a blue cheetah print velvet bodycon dress layered over a black sheer bodysuit. She pairs the dress with black knee-length boots to tie the look altogether. The bright blue against the classic black makes the outfit pop in a subtle yet fierce way. While Jensen goes for more a casual holiday outfit by pairing a cropped pink velvet jacket with dark blue denim jeans and sneakers. By having an everyday item paired with a statement top, this allows one to be comfortable whilst still being trendy. With this, anyone who has a holiday party to attend can feel free to play with any print, texture, color or look to put together a fun, bold, cohesive outfit.
